This piece was completed on January 17, 2008 which was to be widely distributed throughout the Christian community. As we all know, Duncan Hunter "ended" his campaign on January 19th, before the piece could be sent out. After sitting in a near catatonic state for the past 15 days, I have decided to post the piece for informational value if nothing else.

ATTENTION ALL CHRISTIANS
YOU have a choice in the 2008 Presidential election!

Thanks to the bias of the media, there is little doubt that few know of the deep faith and Christian principles that guide Congressman Duncan Hunter, the California Republican campaigning for the highest office in the land and leader of the free world.

Duncan Hunter is a Christian and a man of strong Faith:
Congressman Hunter does not simply talk the talk we have been hearing so much about lately, he actually walks the walk. When GodVoter.org. invited each of the presidential candidates to fill out a prepared questionnaire, Duncan Hunter was one of the only candidates to respond. From his answers to the questions, watching and listening to this humble man speak, I have learned much about this patriot I pray will be the next President of the United States.

Duncan Hunter became a Christian when he was 16 years old. He believes his dependence is knowing the Lord and walking with him daily. Being in politics and living in Washington, DC has it’s challenges and Hunter strives to honor the Lord in all that he does as a leader. He says his leadership skills of patience and humility are derived from the Holy Spirit. When asked if he had to choose between God and country, which he would choose, his response was profound in its simplicity;
"By choosing the Lord, I honor my country."

At the November 28, 2007 CNN-You Tube debate, a question was asked of all the candidates. Congressman Hunter wrote a letter to the questioner. (highlights)

Allow me to respond directly to your question now. “Do you believe in every word of this book?” meaning the Bible. Hunter’s answer, Yes, by faith. --
After quoting John 3:16, Hunter goes on…If you believe in this promise, which so obviously is not scientifically provable, then is there any other event in the Bible that God’s hand cannot accomplish? --

When I am asked by those who pride themselves on the reliance on provable scientific facts regarding the validity of the scriptures, I answer with one such set of facts. There are an infinite number of atoms on the head of a pin, each of which are circled by electrons. Who placed those electrons there? I hope their attempt to answer this question helps them to understand my three-word answer to your original question.

Duncan Hunter does not forget what is important, even though he is on the campaign trail while continuing to do his job in congress.
Hunter first stopped at the Greenwood County Courthouse for a "Call to Prayer" for U.S. troops at home and overseas --

Duncan Hunter is Pro-Life:
Mr. Hunter has authored, sponsored or cosponsored pro-life and pro-family legislation every year for more than ten years. Typically, he introduces his Life at Conception Act on or near the anniversary of the abominable Roe v. Wade decision. He appears and speaks at the March for Life and has a 100% pro-life voting record with the National Right to Life Committee, Family Research Council and the Christian Coalition.
The Right to Life Act specifically acknowledges the personhood of the unborn as supported by the U.S. Constitution.

Duncan Hunter’s Life at Conception Act, if passed, would define life as beginning at conception. If that happened, the Preamble, 5th, and the 14th amendments would apply to protecting the lives of the unborn. An admission made by the court in their Roe v. Wade ruling when Justice Blackmun wrote; If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant’s case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the Amendment.

Q: What will you do to restore legal protection to the unborn?
A: Well, the first thing I would do is pass the Hunter bill which states that life does begin at conception. You know, the second thing is simply this, and I've said this in every speech that I've made in this run for the presidency. If a judicial candidate can look at a sonogram of an unborn child and not see a valuable human life, I will not appoint that judicial candidate to the federal bench. It's as simple as that.

Hunter: “I strongly believe Congress needs to remain actively involved in ensuring parents' rights are protected and I have significant concerns with recent judicial rulings recognizing "de-facto" or "psychological" parents, individuals who assist in raising a child. These types of decisions undermine parental authority, allowing any adult with an association with the child to make parental claims.”

Supports The Families Reinforcement Act:Child support enforcement, tax incentives for adoption, strengthening rights of parents in their children’s education, stronger child pornography laws, and an elderly dependent care tax credit to reinforce the central role of families in American society.

When asked if he would support a federal marriage amendment, Mr. Hunter replied:
“It's so important that we have that law that accommodates the Judeo-Christian traditions that maintains what is probably the most important institution in this country, which is a family. The most important institution that we have. The confidence that marriage gives our children, that moms and dads give our children, can't be duplicated by government. We need a constitutional amendment to maintain their marriage.”

Regarding sexual orientation as a protected class under federal civil rights laws and hate crimes: I have always voted against this type of legislation because I firmly believe that the use of violence against any innocent person is wrong, regardless of that individual's race, religion, nationality or sexual orientation. Despite the intentions of these bills, I sincerely doubt that increased federal involvement in these state issues would have any significant effect on these crimes. If crimes are prioritized based on the victims' status, we threaten the very tenet of equal protection under the law that is the foundation of our legal system. Instead, all violations of the law should be dealt with in a manner that delivers justice on behalf of the victims and their families. I support strict punishment for heinous crimes, like murder, regardless of the social circumstances. The idea espoused in so called "hate crime" legislation that some murders are less serious than others rebukes common sense.

Taking into consideration that approximately 2 million children are taught at home, [home schooled] it is important that we make every effort to ensure these students have the same access and opportunities to federal benefits, such as financial aid, as those who attend public school.

To secure the people's right to acknowledge God according to the dictates of conscience: Neither the United States nor any State shall establish any official religion, but the people's right to pray and to recognize their religious beliefs, heritage, or traditions on public property, including schools, shall not be infringed. Neither the United States nor any State shall require any person to join in prayer or other religious activity, prescribe school prayers, discriminate against religion, or deny equal access to a benefit on account of religion.

Duncan Hunter support the Constitution Restoration Act that prevents federal courts from hearing lawsuits brought to stop public officials from acknowledging God in such ways as the Pledge of Allegiance, public display of the Ten Commandments and public prayer.

What amazing insight Mr. Webster posessed 185 years ago. It is as if he was peering at us through a crystal ball when he penned these words that are so pertinent to all elections, I suppose. They simply seem perfect for this election in particular.

Congressman Duncan Hunter will have my vote in my state primary and in the general election in November 2008.

The Inimitable Duncan L. Hunter

Representative Duncan Hunter, R-CA, is running for president. He is getting little to no attention from the enemedia. This is a sad commentary on the press in the USA. Pathetic actually.

Allow me to introduce you to the one true conservative candidate in the 2008 presidential race.

Duncan Hunter is a decorated veteran having enlisted in the United States Army in 1969. He served in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971 in the Army Rangers' 75th Ranger Regiment, attached to the 173rd Airborne Brigade. He participated in 24 helicopter assaults as well as in small-number, night-time reconnaissance patrols. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal and service ribbons such as the Vietnam Service Medal.

In 1973, he enrolled law school and earned a BS in Law and Juris Doctor in 1976. Hunter worked farming and construction jobs to supplement his income while finishing his degree. Upon graduation, he worked as an attorney, setting up a private practice in the Barrio, where he often provided free legal assistance to the area's Hispanic community.

Duncan Hunter has been married to wife Lynne since 1973. They have two sons, Duncan Duane, a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, who was deployed to Iraq in 2003 and 2004 and just completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan, and Samuel, who is working on the campaigns of his father and brother, who is seeking the seat being vacated by their dad.

In 1980, Duncan Hunter was recruited to run for Congress in what was then the 42nd District. He has won re-election and has served on the Armed Forces Committee since that time. He served as chairman of the committee from 2002-2006 and now serves as ranking member. He also serves on the Select Committee on Homeland Security.

Duncan Hunter has been described as a hawk and holds a very pro-military stance. He believes in peace through strength and the best defense is a strong offense.
He feels when our military members are sent into combat they should be supported, not only in sentiment, but with tools and equipment they need to succeed.

Duncan Hunter, as a veteran and father of a Marine currently serving in the War on Terror, does indeed have a “unique” perspective on our military and national security issues.

Duncan Hunter brings dimension and expertise in national security.
He brings a strength to national security and military issues that we will need as the islamofascists pursue their goal of world domination.

On November 17, 2005 John Murtha held a press conference introducing a resolution he would bring to the floor of the House the following day. He announced;
“The war in Iraq is not going as advertised. It is a flawed policy wrapped in illusion.”
“Our military has done everything that has been asked of them, the U.S. can not accomplish anything further in Iraq militarily. IT IS TIME TO BRING THEM HOME.”
Murtha’s plan called for immediate redeployment of U.S. troops consistent with the safety of U.S. forces.

Please pay special notice to the fact this took place less than 30 days before the Iraqis were to vote for their permanent government on December 15th, which would be their third national vote in less than 11 months.

On November 18, 2005, in response Congressman John Murtha's resolution to terminate the deployment of United States forces in Iraq, to redeploy the forces already involved in Iraq, and to "pursue security and stability in Iraq through diplomacy," Duncan Hunter and other Republicans drafted a two-sentence counter-resolution which read:
Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately.
Resolved, That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately.

The bill was defeated, 403-3, in the House of Representatives.
This should have silenced the war critics for a long time, but alas it did not.

Duncan Hunter has said: “The cornerstone of our responsibilities as elected officials is to defend and protect the American people. This was reinforced with the attacks of September 11th, which immediately made border security a national security issue.”

Hunter legislatively mandated the construction of 14 miles of security fencing on the border separating San Diego County and Tijuana, Mexico drastically reducing drug and people smuggling and other crimes.

In 2005, Hunter introduced legislation calling for the construction of a reinforced fence along the entire. Hunter's amendment was later incorporated into the Secure Fence Act. He has said that if he becomes President, the 754-mile double layer border fence will be built in 6 months. He has been an avid supporter of a secure border and bringing illegal entry under control.

Duncan Hunter supports supply side economics and Fair Trade. He does not support relinquishing our national sovereignty or selling out American workers in the name of Free Trade. All he requires is fair trade deals with a mirror policy in place. This is not a protectionist stance and those that attempt to twist it into one are disingenuous at best.

Duncan Hunter is pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-economic growth, pro-property rights, pro-family, pro-American and pro-military. He supports slowing down the rate of spending growth, except for the defense sector. He is the ideal candidate for republicans and conservatives.

In the Ames Straw Poll on August 11, 2007, he finished nine votes behind Rudy Giuliani and well ahead of McCain. On September 1, 2007, Hunter won the Texas Republican Straw Poll with 41 percent of the vote. He defeated undeclared candidate Fred Thompson (21 percent) and Texas Congressman Ron Paul (16 percent).

None of these results have been touted by the media, why? We are endlessly treated to every manufactured poll result, even those polling 50 people, yet the very large straw poll was ignored.

Perhaps it is because he has said:
"I'd like to see a country where the day I walk out of the White House, after a couple of terms, the American people are more independent of government than the day that I walked in."

This mind set does not sit well with those who would like to enslave us.

Think about these things very seriously before you vote!
